"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I'm never not incubating! I have about 20 chicks of varying ages and some eggs in lockdown right now to hatch tomorrow. I set eggs either close enough together (1 days difference) or far enough apart to give my hatcher a quick disinfecting between hatch dates. What are you incubating? Right now most of my eggs are mixes with some purebred polish.
See??...Told you someone would be!

I'll PM my address for dinner delivery!! Pete is probably trying to figure out "what the heck?!?" with the dogs.
Olive eggers....ahhhhhhh....I WILL be an adult and wait...until when, not sure...keep us posted.

I have to separate my roos - I want Silver, my big Cuckoo Marans roo to be the sire of the olive-eggers. I had a Marans/Amercauana cross a few years back who laid a perfect olive egg - Jim once took a red marksalot & put a dot on it, looked just like a big 'ol olive, lol!!! I'll let you know when I'm ready to start incubating. Probably in another month, 1st of March.

Perfect batch of salsa! in the final simmering stage now, I like to cook it down thick. This was a recipe from Dee Drummond - Pioneer Woman - with my own twists added in.

I look at the incubator and looked away.

I think I'd ask him to pay for shock wire so it doesn't happen again.

My chicken plucker is halfway done. I think my "builder" tried to re-invent the wheel and it took longer than I thought. But he said that he doesn't like to rush. He was going to use a motor from a grinder (and I asked him not to because I didn't think it was going to work but who am I to say what will and what won't work. I"m just a nobody who doesn't know nuttin' - yea right) and guess what? THE MOTOR DIDN'T WORK!!! There was NOT ENOUGH power to turn the plate. Who knew? Didn't I tell him that? But oh know. Crazy Julie doesn't know anything. :p
