Never did find my "sleep outside" rooster last night.  This morning, he is back like normal. I am sure it is the others that pushed him out.  I am going to cull some of my extras on Friday. LINDA is coming over!  So, i will have emotional support which is good...

Guess it goes to show that when they must, the chickens find a way to survive harsh cold. Mine had all huddled down in the leaves. together under the coop protected from the wind. They probably would have been fine but I felt like I had to get them in the warmed coop or they would die. CatDaddy, this was the first time I added heat since they were really young. Today they were under the big hutch tarp.

Welcome!! We are a little quieter than normal right now...I think we are trying to defrost. Also, the kids being out of school throws things off.
