"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Hahaha I would lay down and be dog piled. Lol no one ever talks about the crazy bunny lady....

Hahaha!!! My bunny would probably chase me all day for BANANAS!!! That is his favorite of any treat we give him! And he can smell it a mile away, even if you just recently ate one. You go to hand him a piece and he jerks it out of your fingers and goes to town on it, lol. He only gets it once in awhile though because it is so sweet.

My mother always told me that I couldn't do anything because I am a girl. My dad on the other hand said I could do anything and taught me to love failure. He said failure is just as important as success because it teaches you what went wrong and the next time you know how to do it better then most people because you already planned for the worst that can happen. He was a great man! Just after my 8th birthday he brought me to get my ears pierced, taught me to shoot a gun, and we started building our first house together. All that just to prove to me that girls can do anything.

I grow bananas. Every winter get a couple hundred pounds. We saved about 50 lbs from the freeze that weren't ripe (large and fat but green) we hung them outside the rabbitry to ripen (takes up to 8 weeks sometimes lol) and ill pull off green ones, slice them into chunks on my way to them and every rabbit will be standing and begging like a dog for a porterhouse steak before the door gets opened :gig (it has wrap around Windows and they'll stalk me outside) then just a few dozen heads follow me back and forth until I give up the handful of banana :lau

x2 :thumbsup

Your mom's response is still that today? WOW! So glad that you didn't listen to those words.

We ALL are responsible for encouraging the next person. You never know if you can do something until you try. That's the first step.

X2!!!!  I was just explaining a situation to my kids yesterday.......how their Daddy keeps encouraging someone, even though they are WELL into adulthood.  But sometimes it takes people a long time to gain self confidence and see their own potential.  It is finally paying off for this other person who is now being hired at a much better paying job that is the kind of work that this person is GREAT at!!  They deserve to have a job like this and we are so happy for them that they finally went for it!  I hope our kids can be such encouragers.

You hit it on the nail. That is a great story. They are so lucky to have such a great Daddy and Mommy like the both of you. We need more men and women like the both of you. :bow Your kids will definitely be encouragers. You all are planting the seed in them at a young age and that's all they need. Great job!!! :thumbsup

If you ever want organic bananas in the winter let me know, happy to share and have tons left over every year :) we grow them for the animals. The sugars are much lower in a not quite ripe banana but are still perfectly edible and nutritious as treats :) I dry a bunch in slices as treats for later too. Tried freezing but they came out a mush lol
