"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Where about are they located? They're beautiful! I'm usually very far away from the awesome ones lol
Hey folks, my friend (and bigger bird addict than me!) asked if I could help her find new homes for two royal palm Tom turkeys. She'd like to get about $25 each for them. They are just coming to breeding age and she has too many toms. If she doesn't sell them they'll have tho to freezer camp and shed rather not do that. They are pretty sweet(follows her like a dog) but they are tearing up the few hens has. If anyone is interested her email is...Joyce. zmek@gmail. com (take out the spaces)

Here is a pic of the boys...

Brought Blue inside, even in the coop she seemed to be pacing trying to keep babies together (lots of wander room lol) so she is happy again in the brooder while this cold front passes

I have fallen in love with Blue. Look how cute with those babies peeping out. I can't imagine how different they are from babies that didn't have a momma.

You want a turkey??!!??

That sign actually looks like you!! Hahaha!

Live dead rats and possums. There's a dead raccoon on the road near my house. When I pass it I yell "die chicken killer!!" My windows are up and other drivers just think I'm singing...right???

Yup we want Turkey's and those are beautiful! Bit far tho :( lol
Might take a meaties break for summer...one 80 degree weekend had them roasting :/ and smells...big batches now should sustain us and regular customers for the summer months, so when we stop them for the season, we have to pick up another creature to strut their stuff right? And turkeys take awhile to get good breeding stock bred and growing so better sooner than later? Lol
A few trades were offered last year for plants I have and I didn't take them, wasn't prepared :) same breeders might be looking now and I'm happy to trade tons of my tropicals for poults this coming season :)

When I have to kill a coon for getting too close to my coop I put its body right in front of the coop so they know not to go there. Other predators get spread out on the property line to keep them out of the yard. The reason the coons get the coop instead of the property line is because they spend winter under my house and the rest of the year in a collapsing barn in the pasture. The local ones never go after my livestock, only the passers threw.
