Ok. hypothetical question here..............

You're checking out at the store and the cashier rings up the wrong price for your items. You have 4 items that cost $15.99 each and the cashier somehow rings up only $8.99 for each item. You wonder why the price is so low and when you look at the receipt you notice the error.

So what do you do?

1. You immediately tell the cashier that she made a mistake and pay the difference.
2. You hurry and run out of the store before the cashier recognizes the problem and calls you back, get in your vehicle and speed off.
3. You go back in the store and spend the extra $28.00 that the cashier has "gifted" you due to the oversight.
4. You go back in the store and give the cashier a $5.00 tip and keep the remaining $23.00 for yourself.

#1 coming from a management perspective. I have had to audit employees for theft and have found mistakes like that that are a fireable offense. Sometimes they are honest mistakes and only require a talking to and others are stealing from the job for friends and family. Some managers are not so nice about an honest mistake so I always let them know if they charged me wrong or gave me too much change back. You wouldn't want someone to loose their job when it is so hard to get one.

EXACTLY YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR UNDERCHARGED NOT FAIR TO THE EMPLOYEE OR BUSINESS

Not necessarily true.

Case and Point. I have been in several stores and have paid WAY LESS than the price on the item. When I brought it to the cashier's attention after the item was scanned, they told me that the VERY LOW price that was scanned was the right price. I have paid $0.01 and $0.08 for jars of preserves. I have paid $0.80 for plastic swimming pools. And I could go on and on and on about my low price item adventures in the stores. So that statement is not always true. But I understand your point. A person would think that they are undercharged and inquire about it when in fact, the items are on sale. ;) Ask me how I know. ;)

I'll give my answer when more people have had the chance to respond to see what they will say.

you just gave your answer lol you knew you was undercharged by the price you got you called it to thier attention you did the right thing

Ok  just sitting down for a few minutes after getting my babies settled.   19 out  of 20 made it and 1 small pancake (awww)  I ordered 19 so I think one of the peanuts was the goner  I got 6 Golden Comets, 5 pullets ea of White Rock and Delaware and 2 roos ea.  Very happy with the vigor and stamina they are showing.  I forgot to put out the feather dusters so I'll have to do that in a few minutes.  How often should I check on them.  Hourly today?    My battery for the camera is supposed to come today so maybe I'll be able to finally post something.   :plbb

Congratulations! I must say I'm happy for you. I still haven't had mine shipped it should be soon! If not they might get a phone call from someone tired of waiting. I guess the good news is the new coop should be finished by the time they ship. Can 't wait to see pic's!

kuntry, I have a question for you.

When you had Cornish X chickens, (the big ones)  How long did it take for them to feather out fully?  If I were to try to keep any of these a bit longer than the 8weeks I am wondering how long it would take for their skin to be covered.  I have had the darndest time keeping my "Nuggets" safe from all of the Plymouth Rocks that are the same age.  Those little brats will pick at any little pin feather that they see if they are not fully entertained.  I finally separated all the White Plymouth Rocks.  They seem to be worse than the Buff ones, but they still do it occasionally.

I can't believe they thought she was the only one that would have a problem with the gummy bears. I might need a bag for those special people in my life. Lol! :lau :pop

Kuntrygirl number one when I have done this in the past I'm not asked to pay the difference. The store is happy to know there is a mistake. I've never been asked to pay the difference but if I was I would.
