The VERY best idea I found on the forum is fermenting feed.   Nothing like it.  I bought a big bottle of Corid and haven't cracked it open yet.

Very good point I usually tell new peeps it's a good idea to have a chicken first aid kit. Blue cote, an antibiotic, etc. So when their is a problem you have what you need. Pam

She was on this morning so I'm guessing she read it. Must not be in the mood to play! Or it takes to long to inventory all her extreme couponing bounty. Her house might be busting at the seems. Lol! She hasn't even told us stories of the store paying her to buy stuff.LOL

Google recommends using a 2x4 for a roost. My coop has a smaller roost. What do yall have? Should I take out the skinny one and add a 2x4?

I've never had spell check so I'm jealous of everyone who has it! Lol! I'm thinking the same thing house floor to sealing with that 100 rolls of paper towels she was getting. Hooked on episodes of prepping watching all the old seasons. Lol! We should be able to keep up on Rainey days. Wisconsin is having summer if we can't do it now we won't in winter when they have nothing but snow. I tried the chocolate orange paromi, hibiscus berry, and lemon ginger. Yummy!

I have a 2 by 4 in my new coop. I think the old one was slightly smaller. When I was a kid they free ranged all the time our dogs lived outside and were trained. Our birds had a horse stall as a coop. It was never locked up like I do now. Our birds favorite roost was the fence top rail. Smaller than a 2 by 4. They only used the coop to lay eggs. Pam

Still haven't caught the one around our house. On high alert every time we go outside. I didn't know they can hurt you after death. I'll keep that in mine when we finally kill it. Pam
