"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Vent away. But you will get more help from Jennifer she hatches and you probably have her number. It's suppose to be fun not stressful. Do you think all these hens check humidity? If you can't reach Jennifer . Try kuntrygirl ,Jeff , Terri la chicks, good luck. Pam

Thanks Sweetie, I'm better now. Brought the eggs in and finally candled them. Six are good. No detached on all 14. The other 8 are porous but some people have luck with them so I'm keeping them in right now. Surprisingly good shape for the abuse I've heaped on them the last 24 hrs. Sitting steady at 100 and 45 humidity.. I'll definitely sleep good tonight.
I have so much to do. One step at a time. But I put the garden on the backburner and I have 10 Tongue of Fire bush bean plants with flowers and 2" pods. So I've decided that I'm going to do a few each day. Maybe a 3-4' row of beans, squash and tomatoes. I have a lot of beans. Purple hull peas are going in first and dwarf bush beans, dwarf sunflowers and a bunch of other stuff. I'll never get it all planted but a little at a time. Shoot, we can do a fall garden down here that others dream of.

Wrap styrofoam around it! Pam
How about one of those computer fans.  Something to think about.  Not very powerful at all but still effective.   :D

Pam: around the outside?
Linda: I've heard that. PSJ actually recommended it yesterday, just don't have one handy right now. Going to look for one though if something doesn't give.
I put a 125w bulb in there which I know is too high, just done it for testing and the temp is sitting at 111 degrees. Do y'all think putting a 90 or 100 watt bulb would work or would that cause problems?

Oh my...busy bees you all are! Traveling right now so I haven't logged in for two days. FIVE pages later I'm all caught up! Lol. I have been so worried about my girls and all the bad weather down there for you guys (I'm in New York City). Hoping everyone's staying dry!
