"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Not needed down here, plus the chickens squat on their feet and keep their feet warm, i shaved the edges on my 2x2 to make them kind of roundm more comfertable for their feet, they can wrap their toes around easier also, the big one with the big birds are pin oak trees i cut down on my place, i put long 3" deck screws in the diagonals and just laid the roosts up their, so i can take them out if i need to

Mine use large-ish round dowels.

I just got an email from Amazon.com telling me that they gave me 300 coins for visiting the "Children's Summer Reading store". I did not buy anything, just went and looked. The coins have a $3.00 value and can be used for apps, games, etc. It might be worth a look.

Mine too. About 2.5" and they love it. I have 4 6' long ones and all 15 of my 9 wk olds can fit on the top one. Even my gimpy little male. I only saw them last night for the first time because I don't go out after dark. But I have a good flashlight now. My coop is 7.5' x 12' and they fly all the way to the end of the coop. Love that they are able to get the exercise.

One good thing about the rain: my screens FINALLY started sprouting. Yes! Right now the girls are eating it as fast as it comes through the screen, but soon there will be more than they can eat, then they'll make tunnels to run through. That's when the bunnies start having big fun. Even though I was watering them, apparently it just wasn't enough to sprout, needed rain.

We have boards, but when we built the coop that was what we had laying around so that's why we used them. 2x4x8's.

In all honesty, they didn't want the garden, and he is physically disabled.  They work really, really hard on the dog grooming business in front of the house.  So I had a guy till it for me but he didn't rake it flat and I'm too old to do a lot.  I had to make a decision to concentrate on the chickens first.  I still haven't told the SIL that I've brought the incubator in the house.  He's afraid of exploding eggs.    :lau     It's in great shape now sitting at 100 and I added a T of hot water to build humidity back up to 45.
One good thing about the garden, I have tons of weeds to pull for the chickies.  I'm happy today.  Usually only have a downer occasionally. :D    Thanks for being so sweet.

I forgot about your SIL. I remember you saying that now.So he should get a pass. Sorry, maybe you could find someone that wants a garden but has no room you could help each other.and share the produce. Pam

the bf killed a 4.5 ft long snake in the coop last night... it ate one of my babies :(
Well, i say baby, but she was fully feathered, so she was over a month old.

I'm so sorry you had a loss. Glad your BF was there to kill it before you had anymore losses. Pam

Teenagers...service hours!!! Check with any local private school, or catholic churches. I know other churches do stuff too, but it's my "frame of reference". I mean no disrespect to anyone's religion.

MAKE THE RAIN STOPPPPPPP!!!!!!! Feeding horses has been SO MUCH FUN IN THE RAIN!!! I just love being muddy and wet!!!! Plus the entire "steeming" thing because I have a rain coat on. HOWEVER, I can't have the hood up because the mares get scared. So, REALLY, what's the point of the rain coat??
