Morning La-yers! gee ya'll have all been so busy -- me, too! thanks for posting all the pretty pics!

We are pretty sure it was a fox that got my 2 guineas. Two of my cousins have seen a big fox running through the field next to our house. I bet he knows exactly where the henhouse is!

I had a wonderful 3 day weekend! - I made a 4th of July cake that looked (sort of) like the American flag when you sliced into it - red, white & blue! it was a cool project. I'll post a pic of it later. I also made a brisket - marinated 24 hours then cooked 6 1/2 hours at a very low temp - it was delicious! We got our first ripe tomatoes so had cucumber & tomato salad to go with everything.

Cleaned up the garden, trimmed & tied up the tomatoes, took out the beans which weren't doing all that great & putting too much shade on the tomatoes. Still getting tons of cukes but I'm done w/pickles for the year. I don't even want to see a pickle jar right now! Scrubbed all the waterers & did some general clean-up around the pen. And spent some time just relaxing and reading! It was hard to come back to work today...
Sorry to hear about the guineas. Time to fox hunt!

You had time to READ?!?!??? I'm impressed with that list!

It's been CRAZY!! I'm sure everyone can relate! I'm still trying to figure out the "beach trip thing". I think it will be Perdido Key area. It seems to be the most "bang for you buck" and still close to Folsom.

Yea! They must have heard your comments about chickens that aren't productive at your place. Lol
I write it both ways: crayfish or crawfish, but I only pronounce it "craw-fish". Have never said it the other way.
Pam, tell Ron thank you. I leveled it by eye-balling it. How could he tell in the foto that it wasn't level? Lol.

Ditto on the crawfish. Even in the north la. Prim, I love the idea of your coop. So handy. I'm excited because my soaked oats are fermented and soft and the birds are eating it. I added 2 cups to about 1/2 gallon of my fermented feed. First time ever that they have eaten them.
