Rapunzel started laying today! Now two of my girls are laying. :D My daughter loved that we have two colors so far, and as of right now she can identify which egg is from which chicken.

Honestly, she started laying JUST in time because I'm going to need eggs for this weekend to bake birthday cakes!

I found a cabinet bator listed on craigs list. Drove to Monroe today to look at it. It was a older model GQF in rough shape. The guy wanted 300.00 for it. Way to much for the age and shape it was in. I don't know what did or didn't work on it. I found posts on the forum where these sold for 200.00 4-5 years ago, working and in better shape.
I think I'll hold off for now.

good idea, you have plenty of time to make up your mind and do more research. I am going fully auto as i work offshore 14 on and 14 off, i can set them the day before i leave aand be back in time to go to lockdown

Best to do your resurch if you make a mistake it's a costly one. No warrenty on used models. If you wind up with a styrofoam one use liners you can't disinfect it good enough so be safe and get the liners.You have time to decide. Theirs always a BYCer willing to hatch for you if you don't get one before your eggs come. Pam

If you join Azure Standard you can get organic feed at a reasonable price plus they have all kinds of organic food that might be hard to find in your area. Pam

They really need everyones prayers. Willow the baby was having trouble beathing. They ran test and she was getting a spinal tap last we texted. She was greatful they sedated her to put a tube in her lungs ao she was out for the ST.I'm greatful the hospital gave them a hospitality room for a few days. Hopeing and praying for better news tomorrow. Pam
