Wish y'all could've heard the wind at my house today! Sounded like a cartoon ghost parade going through the living room.
We talked about covering some plants, and them didn't. I was pretty sure we had a hard freeze back I'm November, but husband said this will be the coldest temps since last January. I didn't pick our grapefruit; they're still several weeks from being ripe. Last winter's freeze nearly killed the whole thing, but we still got a few little fruits. Almost. About 6 or 7 all together, compared to the 100s the year before.
I didn't do much for the chickens, either. I added a few boards to cover a gap, and fluffed up the hay. Being in the yard they have a pretty good windbreak with the trees and privacy fence. So I'm not too worried about them. I guess I'll find put on the morning if I regret my decisions or not.
