So when you dry hatch, do you ever add water? If I don't add water the humidity stays between 18 and 23%
Some say that's okay others say it's way to low, what is your experience?

Yes, I do add water. I like to keep my humidity around 30% until lockdown, then I boost it to 35-40%. I usually add a little water a couple times a week -- it varies from hatch to hatch. I just keep an eye on it & if it drops below 30%, add water. I usually add a couple tablespoons, then check it again in 2 hours & see where it stabilized to, & add some more if needed.

Thank you!

They should start laying any day now! I have beautiful red/black cochins (? Egg Color), silver seabrights (white eggs) and top hats which are also white eggs. We will see soon what color my cochins lay soon. I will update because I will be selling them soon :)

I hope you enjoy being here on byc. There is always something interesting to read. I think someone may have pulled your leg of they told you those were Cochins. All Cochins have feathered legs and a straight comb. Maybe they are a mix? What breed are the crested bantams?

Yup. Cochins are very fluffy with also fluffy butts. Here are some examples of one of my roos and a hen I had.

It looks like those are black crested white polish. I had one just like those.

Im looking for Duccle Mille Fleur Standard or Bantam eggs ASAP... Anyone have any? Or willing to help me find some would be great. Thx so much

I'm pretty sure that Renee Guillory at The Cluckin Chicken Farm has them. You can find her on Facebook. But I think she only sells chicks. Still, worth a check. :)

EDIT TO ADD: join the fb group "Berzas Bantams" and the pinned post is a breeders list. There were a couple with the Mille fleur d'uccle, and I wasn't even halfway down the list.
