I'm in LeBlanc, but my folks are moving over near Amite at the end of this month, so by the time I have pullets I'll be able to meet closer in that part of the state.

Found this poor little juvie the morning, cold to the touch. I used the hair dryer to fluff him back up, then put him in the brooder. Hopefully he'll warm up and recover.

I have had good luck prying them in the incubator for a couple hours. Revives them well.

Lost my sweet girl last night. She was only 5. She was barking when I got home, and by the time I got the chickens up and the kids down she was gone. I'm thinking maybe it was her heart? Cavaliers are prone to heart defects. I hadn't had her checked in a while because she didn't have any symptoms.

I'm so sad to hear that! Our dogs have always been family and it hurts so bad when they go. She's was beautiful.
