"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Once I have a big enough flock for myself I would. I have the barbeziaux and the Bresse. I think a French restaurant would go for them too. Someone I bought from in the past sells his excess eggs to a chef. I want to taste the other two before selling them. Pam

Seriously? Won't they just taste like chicken? Bahahaha. Your Lt Sussex is supposed to taste. Great. They have dorking in their mix and they are the best tasting ever. By the way, I went to the post office today.

Thank you! I think taste depends on a few things. Yes will taste like chicken but feed makes a difference. I taste a difference between organic and conventional chicken. I.m growing herbs for their greens hoping to add flavor. I've had cheese from cows that greased on fennel and the cheese taste like fennel. Breed will also have differences in taste. Look at the Japanese with Kobe beef. What you feed influences taste among other things. In France a bresse capon goes for money I couldn't imagine paying for chicken. I'll let you know when I eat one. Lol Pam

Anyone here leave the coop door open to the run 24/7? I have a few that prefer to sleep outside, but I still leave them access to the coop in case of bad weather or something.

I do. The run is totally enclosed. The coop doesn't even have a door. It was totally open across the front (like a missing board) until I framed in most of it. After this week's possum trouble they're all refusing to sleep inside the coop.

Pam: here are some recent pictures from my garden, not as pretty as they once were but talking aqbout making a lot of produce

Do i have a chicken math problem, NO, I have an egg math problem, Camping, this is for you, at least 5 eggs every day
