Wow it still looks great! I have an egg math problem too.things should turn around with all the grocery prices going up. They are predicting egg, chicken and turkey shortages due too A I.

Anyone here leave the coop door open to the run 24/7? I have a few that prefer to sleep outside, but I still leave them access to the coop in case of bad weather or something.

The ONLY time I did was the day the huge snake got in and ate two of my babies. Daytime. Of course the coop is sittting amongst the trees. ;)

Topdog, this is a total inspiration for my gardening. Going out in a few minutes to gather up tons of grass clippings. Neighbor was gone for weeks and mowed several acres 4-6" high.

We do part of the time. If there is bad weather coming or things like that we close the doors after they are in at night. And sometimes if its going to be really bad we shooo them inside and close them up. All of ours prefer to go inside at night and go in and out constantly through the day.

That looks great! We are finally getting our Rattlesnake pole beans and we dumped out one tub of potatoes. Our youngest was begging for some new potatoes, lol.

I met Linzi Poole, the state doctor was out today so Linzi did the necropsy. AI test came back clean so that's good news.

They took some swabs, should have the results in a few days if there is anything that will show up. Other than that there was no telltale visual signs to go by. The heart was quite large but it could have been from it being chilled/cooled in the fridge.

Thank you Lemon and Pam for the help with this. I'll let ya'll know if anything comes up in the tests.
Hi Cody so glad your clean:)

Hi everyone, and whoever has this beautiful garden, Wow. If your garden looked better before that's hard to believe it must have really been magnificent! I haven't seen such a pretty garden before and I love to garden. You must devote a lot of time to your garden. You also must have a really nice climate for gardening wherever you're at. The weather here has been really strange. It was cold for a long time and it'll heat up a little bit , and then it's been raining and raining and my stuff is just starting to get a good foothold. My squash are just starting to take off pretty good and my tomatoes are really nice and big but my peppers that's another story. I always end up with more than I need in the long run. I love looking at a beautiful garden and yours sure is!

...BUT the grandkids go to Dry Creek Baptist Camp...which is not just for Baptists. They accommodate all denominations and even kids that don't attend any church....very safe and well supervised. I have been a "counsellor" there for 2 years and even attended when I was a child when the cabins were screened-in from ceiling to about halfway down the wall...that was a trip" . Cabins/dorms are now air conditioned, hold 20 bunks, have 2 showers each and 2 commodes each and the administrators supply one counsellor per 20. If the child does not have a church home, they will be placed in a cabin with girls or boys their age and nobody is left to feel isolated or different. They also request that each church sponsoring kids send 1-2 other counsellors for every 7-8 children. The young folks are very well supervised and enjoy an Olympic sized pool where "weather permitting" they swim every day. Other extra special sports provided are canoeing and a bb rifle range, usually a water slide and always outdoor games. Craft time is another fun activity.

Missionaries are there every year that have been to other countries and the campers get to meet them at the Hen House cabin where they are in small group setting and even do some crafts there and pick a missionary to pray for during the following year...it is all very mission oriented. Nightly there is a a contemporary praise and worship group that leads and a guest speaker/missionary or evangelist that ministers to the children on their level as the camps are set up by age groups per week. We have even had blind and other handicapped children attend, also. My grandchildren love it and can't wait to go every year! They make lots of new friends from all over Louisiana and other states, plus missionary children who often live in foreign countries.

They sponsor several summer camps , so check it out...Their website is www.drycreek.net.
