You get a smaller bag. It's ground finer in my opinion that makes more waste. It has corn an I think soy. If your looking to save money and have space call scratch & peck tell them you want a pallet price for your farm. I saved a good bit doing it that way. That was before gas went down shipping may be less now . Pam

Pam, is the discount bulk pallet price still shipped through Azure?

There is no where for her to hide them in the coop and run. Her face has been red for a while now, but I have not yet checked her vent. I will be doing that today though. I have been chalking it up to her reaching point of lay during winter and her now waiting for longer days, but it has reached that point and still nothing. This is the longest I've ever had to wait for a chicken to lay. I'll let you guys know how her vent and pelvis looks and feels

My black orpington was probably around 10 mos before she started to lay. Seemed to take forever for her face and comb to turn red and then, even after it did, it took awhile before she started laying.

Does anyone know where i can get a good price on a pallet of medicated chick starter 50lb bags. Buying individually im paying 14.95 each. Starts to get a little expensive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pelvic bones are wide and it looks like her wattles have gotten larger in the past few days. Eggs are in the nest to encourage her. I guess I will continue the waiting game

This is also what i chalke it up to, but just in case the Two im waiting on have hidden them, i stopped them from free ranging but still waitn, i supose were waiting on spring.

Sorry gone all day. No they shipped to a friends that has a forklift but you can get them to deliver to the same loading dock if you need it. That was my plan till Ron said we could do it at a contractors office.if you had the equipment they can deliver to your house. Pam

Thank you Pam. I have a friend that's trying to get a better deal on feed rather than buying Scratch-n-Peck through Azure. I'll pass along the info.
