My japanese lay so darn well. I use their eggs for cooking even though it takes two or three to make up for one large egg.
Trust me he was kicked several times. I gave him a week then introduced him to my pot. He was extremely fixated on attacking everyone. Its crazy how much temperament can vary just within a breed!

e I don't mind waiting at all. Do you want eggs or chicks? I should have about 7 eggs going into lockdown this weekend (yes, lots of staggered hatches so have two incubators now) so could do either one. If you want eggs, I can start collecting the week before you want to meet up for the exchange. All the polish eggs I have put in the incubator have developed well with no clears/quitters/blood rings so good fertility.
I am still trying to decide what breed I will go with.
