I think the coupon code only works until the end of the month. Hopefully it's still on sale.

"Congrats on the orpingtons! What kind of incubator do you have? I have been wanting to get an incubator for so long but I haven't taken the plunge. I really don't need one because my girls hatch out all of my babies. I just want on "in case". I have been researching incubators for years and not sure what kind to buy"

My incubator is just a cheap styrofoam Hovnabator 1602N - it cost about $40 and 2 years ago I added an auto-turner for another $30-prior to that, I hand turned the eggs. I've hatched all of my chickens from it.

The blue orps I just hatched were from shipped eggs. I had exactly half of them hatch out, which I think is a good ratio for shipped eggs. I have had 100% on shipped eggs once, and usually 100% or close to it with my own chickens' eggs.

to answer BlakesWife..

Things are always changing,. but right now we have SQ Barnevelders from Christina and Dan's vB line and from Jennifer Mingione. Working on darker eggs and solid double lacing.
Some Davis/Wade Jean BC Marans. A couple of Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas
and some Olive eggers from the BCM and BWA's for fun
and some nice Black Australorps,. some for showing in 4-H and some for laying. Looking forward to improving them with some nice BA eggs from a very nice lady and Breeder on BYC,. aveca,..DD is so excited,. these birds are her favorite and her own project.,. gotta say,. they are on top of my list too. She want to breed for SOP to keep BA's off the critical list ,.. same with the BV's. But her heart goes to her BA's.
I have a surprise for my DH coming for the 'bator,. but can't say yet or he will find out,. but they are going to be from a breeder and for showing.
Rained all night here and when I let the flock out,. they played in the water ,. silly chickens

I want an incubator soooooooooooo bad. I know that I need one because I sell out of my chicks in no time. I have a waiting list of people who are wanting chicks. I need an incubator that will hold at least 50 eggs.......holding 100 eggs would be even better.

I'm just so cheap.
