At 2 a.m. in the morning? wow you really had a search on!

I am so ticked off at my wheaton roo Eagle. He has started attacking me through the fence. He made a few passes at me when I crossed through their pen to go over to the peacock pen too. I started carrying a stick with me & shook it at him & he backed off. He's been such a good roo up to this point, & I know it's spring and the sap is running, but I sure hope this sap gets some common sense back & behaves himself.

Sat I had a first: gathered 13 eggs from 12 hens! the double layer was my only olive-egger, Goldie. She's 1/2 cochin & 1/2 Ameracauna.

Here's a pic of Eagle:

and my pea boys, Romeo & D'artagnan:

Very nice birds! I hope he behaves himself, he's very handsome!

My "spirited" little barred rock was roosting on the feeder today. She seemed v. proud. (I am still suspicious that she is a he...)
They are 2 weeks old today.

I hope you get that roo taken care of!! Had a friend send me a message on FB "Please call me ASAP!!" And it was all about asking me how to stop her rooster feom attacking her. I could only tell her what I've read since I've had no experience with a aggressive one!!

Congrats on the eggs!!

Amy, if you post a pic of your BR I could probably tell you whether it was a roo or not!!

TerriLaChicks, I'm sorry to hear about your beautiful rooster. I've had a couple that turned mean. One I butchered myself with absolutely no remorse. I came to HATE that bird for all the cuts, scatches, puncture wounds, bruises, and scars that bird put on me. Gumbo was quite good! I won't take that abuse from another rooster.
