Kudos on the Cornish processing! they sure do look meaty. Might try some of those this fall.

That is a magnificent sight!! OMG!!! The look wonderful!!! LOOK HOW BIG THEY ARE!!!! I didn't realize how big they had gotten.
How old were they when you processed them? Now why did you have to go and post that pic. I'm going to Tractor Supply today to see if they have any left. I want some of those.
When you cook them, please take a pic of the meal and post. And let us know how great they taste because I know they will be delicious.
You did an excellent job on those!!

ETA: Forgot to ask.....What did you feed them and how often? Did they have food 24 hours a day?
I bought them on March 18th. If I'm right by the wing feathers they were probably already a week old when I bought them. SO.. I processed them at 8 weeks!! When I first bought them I started them out on 24% chick starter. I just thought they were getting to big to fast so I dropped down to 20%. We stayed with that except one time my husband bought 24% again cause they were out of 20%. I left the food in 24/7. Figured once I took the light off them they wern't going to eat in the dark anyway. Just made it easier on me. I moved them around at least every 3 days to try to keep them out of their poop. And let me tell you these things do some pooping. What little bit of feathers they had on their breasts were nasty. My hubby started brain storming last night about building a different kind of pen/tractor where they would be on wire and the poop would fall through. I really want to keep them on grass and next time will just have to move them every day without fail.
When we're processing we get a ice chest and fill it with ice and water and as we're done we throw them in there. The last time I packaged and frozen them the same day. This time I left them in the ice chest till this morning, packaged them and will leave them in the fridge till tomorrow. I didn't know about letting the meat relax after rigamortis sets in the first time. I think I will roast one Wednesday night so I will definetly take some pics and let you know.
Oh I forgot to add my hubby has been looking for an old washing machine on CL so he can make us a bigger plucker. Though the one he made Saturday worked really well it was still more time consuming.
