"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Well, I figured since I have a water line right next to the coop I should at least take advantage of it!! The water line and the nipples are pretty cheap, it's the regulator that's the most expensive. If I didn't have a truck to pay tax, license & title on, a kid to put in driving school next month at the tune of $495

and a vacation to pay for I would do it! But as it stands now my chickens will have to wait!! I did go buy 2 - 3 1/2 gallon waterers for the 2 grow out coops. Now they don't run out of water!!

I HAVE WELSUMMER CHICKS!!!!

:

Five hatched so far & more pips appearing -- I had to come in to work but will run home in a hour or so & check up on them.

Yesterday was our THIRD day in a row of record-breaking heat - 101, 100 -- wonder what it's gonna be like when summer *really* gets here?

NO rain either!

I ran the hose out to my citrus trees & flooded them for a while, trying to save my satsumas & meyer lemons - they are dropping fruit from the dryness.

I have to start making out my list of what all I will be selling off, now that I am back in business with Wellies!

Congrats on the chicks!! I have lots of buffs that I hatched over the last month. I'm growing them out to choose my flock for next year. I'll have lots of extra hens and roosters.
