Good ice cream in Mer Rouge or use to be . Do you know Joyce that raises all the little exotic birds ?

There is still great ice cream in Mer Rouge. LOL I've got my kids hooked on it now. I've been eating that ice cream since I was 3.

I don't know many people in this area at all. I've only been here for a little over a year this time and I am not able to get away from the house much. That is why when I saw the chickens and fell in love with them that I decided I could do that. I'm always at home.

My daughter is an asst manager at Mac's in Swartz .

So would it hurt the chickens too?

"It might take us a couple of years to get it finished but I think working on it a little at a time and not being rushed or anything will help. I think I will start going to that place (I swear I can't think of the name) that people turn in stuff they no longer need and you can go buy building stuff there!! I know if I go often I might be able to find some good prices there!!"

We have a ReStore here in Alexandria that might be useful to you! and there's always Craigslist - you might be able to barter there also.

Congrats on the pheasant hatch Mike! you're rebuilding at a very fast rate!

Re DE - I've used it in combination with boric acid powder (if you can't find it from a pharmacy get 20 Mule Team Borax off the laundry detergent aisle at Walmart; contains same thing) & sevin dust - mix 1/3-1/3-1/3 & sprinkle in dusting holes, around perimeter of house, in dog yards, runs -- it does a good job against all kinds of bugs. Have not noticed any problems respiratory wise with it - but again, don't use it full strength here. You do have to re-apply it after rain as it will dissolve. This year I finally broke down & bought some permethrin & we mixed that very diluted with sevin & sprayed & that took care of the mites, flies, etc. & I think it lasts longer. I got the permethrin at the feed store (Petrus Feed & Seed).

OK back to bed for me; was up w/an allergy attack but think the benadryl is kicking in now...
