Candled sebbie eggs after 6 days under hen: 1 = good spider veining; 2 = look OK can't say for sure; 1 = didn't look good but I left it for now.

One mad broody hen -- she bit pretty darn hard -- several times!!

Also, splash male sebbie gosling will be shipped Monday to me along with some show quality Muscovies. Pray they make the trip from Michigan OK!

I will have several dog kennels that I use for my chicken coops for sale later this fall. They have been safe for my chickens and I have used them for a few years. The only problems I've had with them was from my own dogs tearing into them. I don't have vicious predators right now, other than my dogs, that threaten my chickens. When I move I won't be able to use them because on our property we have numerous predator threats and I'll have to beef up my chicken pens. I've found these pens to be a fast and easy setup.

Twiley, have you started getting your coops built on your new property??

No, I was just thinking that if their not hatchlings then they don't have that yolk to substain them so they would have to be shipped overnight right?? I'm praying they make it to you safely.

I've never had birds shipped to me before.

Out w/the waterhose again---garden's almost dried up to nothing by now except for pole beans, eggplants & tomatoes. Can't really complain as have put up a ton of stuff, but was hoping to keep some of it going a bit longer---note to self: next year stagger planting of garden!

Well, I'm going to join in on the fun, too. Today, when I got home with my new geese, before I had a chance to fill their kiddie pool it started raining. We had a real "gully washer". I hope you got rain, too. If not,

Theres ur smack for the day...lol.... We keep getting these weather alerts for weather moving through Poplarville headed our way.

We see bad dark clouds to the North moving this way....Lightning,thunder

On a good note...I have some Reeves Pheasants hatching out.@ hatched so far with plenty more pips...

...Only ended up with one Lady Amherst and two Silvers.

I havel! -- I had runner ducks shipped from Holderread's -- an adult pair -- they left Oregon at 3:30 in the afternoon & were delivered here the following day!!

I had my peas shipped from Ohio -- ALL of them -- in 2 separate shipments last year -- both left in the afternoon & made it here by 11:00 the next morning--

stay on top of your shipment---notify--call your post office & let them know you are looking for the birds & they will be more than happy to let you know when they arrive so you can go get them out of their hair. Just call them! Give them every possible number to contact you by!
