Oh yea, I did 6.5 gallons, half of them where whole figs and the other half are Strawberry Fig jam(fig blended with stawberry jello).

What does "lockdown " mean when one is incubating ? Thank you

Kuntrygirl , I hobbled in and low and behold they had some Cream colored Buff pullets , Christmas in June !

The chicks are either pure Coronation Sussex or Coronation/Light Sussex splits. The two bigger chicks are most likely roosters (they looked like roosters to me) but I sent them because they looked like they showed lavendar on the tail and neck which would mean that they were pure Coronation Sussex. If their feathers come out black they are splits, whereas if the neck and tail feathers are lavendar they'll be pure Coronations. Theoritically, if you breed Light Sussex split hens with a pure Coronation Sussex rooster you should get 50% pure Coronations. So, I figured you needed a pure Coronation rooster to go with whatever the rest of the chicks are.
