Yep, they are laying machines!!!!!!!!!! That's why I have 72 new ones for 2011. Last year I had 65 hatch.

mm would they be able to be house with my chickens?

I know I tried a couple of months ago before I processed the rest of my scovies mixing with my chickens that didnt work, my mixed rooster "Turd" thought he was a bad _ss
my scovie drake sat on my rooster and it was all over with I had to pull them apart. lol

I really would take some of them off your hands if I was closer.... What are you asking for them?

Mine run with the chickens most of the time, but I do have a lil side pen made just for the ducks.Used a few pallets to make an outdoor shade area for the ducks in the corner of the pen.Actually a pretty cool lil idea.Been trying to work on a small pond for them, but just don't seem to be gettin anywhere with it....lol... I also have automatic bell waterer in the open coop,so it's not as much of a mess as on the floor waterers would be.

I'll send you a PM. I still want to talk to you about your stalker.

I love a joker!

As far as the curling of the tails, I do not have any muscovies whose tails curl. However I do have 2 male devils (Jekyll and Hide) whose tails do curl but they are not muscovies. Here is a pic of them and you can see the curly tails. One is on the left and the other on the right.

The white duck's other nickname is "Afro man" because he has an afro. He is a white crested duck.

I tell my male and females apart because of their size and the "mohawk" that stands up and lays down on their head.

You will have to put me on your list next year if you hatch any. I would love to buy some of those lavendars. That's one of the colors that's on my list to get.

I don't know Kuntrygirl. These ducks look like they're scheming. No wonder you have so many ducklings!

Twiley and Missi, those 2 ducks in the picture are THE WORST. I have no idea why I was so blessed to have these 2 fugitives from the law. They could do time at Alcatraz with no problem. They have their own pen and run because they try to kill everything in the yard. They are not allowed out in the human yard unsupervised. I picked up these 2 about 4 years ago from the feed store at 2 days old and they have been together every day from that time on. The white crested duck is the worst. He thinks he runs the place and that everyone should be afraid of him. When I am outside and I decide to let them out, I have to keep an eye on them. When I let them out, the terror in the yard begins but it doesn't last too long. The flock of geese and the turkeys have his number. They will put him in his place. I can't even begin to tell you how much stress these 2 cause me but I wouldn't trade them for a million dollars. WHY? I have no idea why?
