Where in the world did you find iodine??? I went to wal-mart and the only thing I found was something that said a safer alternative to iodine. Can't recall the name right now!!

Missi, you can get Iodine at Walgreens. That's where I bought mine from. It looks like this.

I think my goose is grieving the loss of her mate. We lost him to the coyotes two days ago. This morning, Nola didnt come when I went out to feed everyone. I had to run around to find her, I thought she had been taken too. I found her tucked up in a hiding place. She didnt make any of her cute little noises to greet me or anything. She's not really trying to eat either. I've dewormed twice, as you all know, so I'm pretty sure thats not it. I think she's grieving. She was hanging with the ducks yesterday, but shes staying by herself this morning. Any thoughts on how I could help her?

Looks to me like you have 3 options here. 1.) Get her another goose to buddy up with 2.) Send her to another home with geese 3.) Wait it out and hope she buddies up with the ducks. I think she will, but it make take a little time. Good luck!

Good morning everybody. I just got through clearing out my herb garden - need to get it started up again. I love spearmint!

Just got back from the vet's with Winnie & unfortunately she has managed to tear the nylon suture that forms a "ligament" in her knee, so tomorrow morning she has to undergo a 2nd surgery to repair that. It wont' be as intense as the first one where they put in the metal screws but if it isn't done, she will never heal correctly. I am depressed - feels like the last 3 weeks are just thrown out the window as far as recovery.

Hey if anybody has been watching the eaglets on the Wildlife Center of Virginia, they are going to live stream their release next week! Wednesday at 11 their time, which is 10 our time. I plan on taking the day off work so I can watch. I've been watching these eaglets since before they even hatched & it's been quite a roller coaster experience.
