"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Here is some info for some , Fay at Frizzled Feathers and Foley's Fowl and Poultry sell Blue Red Laced wyandottes , both are out of state . Fay is super nice , and I have heard good things
about Foley's . I haven't emailed Fay lately so I don't know what she has on hand .

Here's how hot it was yesterday evening -- the three caballeros as I call them - (3 roos that I have got to cull one of these days) decided they liked being on top of the AC unit -- or else, they were trying to give us a hint to bring them inside!

Good info to know! I've never had any BRLWs - had a regular silver hen once & she was a wild thing - good layer though.

lol , I was right the first time with Fay's moniker , haven't had enough joe yet .

Here is the deal , tomorrow I am going to call Petrus in Alexandria and see if they can get Blue Red Laced wyans , if they can and if anyone is interested in getting some ,let me know how many you might want . For those of you that live further south than Alex , we might have to arrange a town or city that I can deliver them to and someone that can parcel them out to you that are on that leg of the journey . I will be more than happy to get them as far as I feel like I can drive without much trouble due to my back . I was told today that Petrus can order them .

My Marans are laying now! Thanks, Mike!

Seems like just yesterday that I picked them up @ the Expo and they were sooo tiny then. Now they're huge, hungry, and really friendly.

I have these two in the tractor by themselves, and there is an insect problem in there. Neither of them can see very well because they developed cataracts when they were small (I freaked out thinking it may have been the 'M' word, but they're fine now), and they allowed wasps to build a nice nest in there. I also found a giant black widow web and very nearly wrapped my head in it. I got the spider and an egg capsule out with a stick but I'm still Leary. Do you guys think it would help to add a chicken with good eyesight to control the pests? I have some EE roos that need to be separated but I'm afraid that he would harass them in those close quarters.

I added two EE hens instead. The roos rushed me when I caught them, so they may be in good hands when they start free ranging on the new stead'.
