Terri or Missi hatches all roosters -- well I bought all ganders!!! 5 out of the 6 goslings I bought in Missouri turned out to be male. The other one I didn't test because I thought it was a female. I think I'd better test that one too. Also, the saddleback gosling that I hatched is male.

Sorry you have the "all roo" bad luck gene also! That just sucks!!!

Julie I'm glad ya'll came out of it OK -- we have limbs all over here too (even tho we didn't get a drop) I'm so dreading if we get a hurricane or trop storm we will lose every tree on the place!

Whiskey Bay I hope Steve gets to feeling better! your daughter is adorable!

Missi & everybody else - ya'll have a good day too! TGIF!!!

Yesterday when I got home from work, I walked in the chicken yard and as I looked towards the feeders and waterers, I saw something that led me to believe that someone was playing a joke on me. I had to do a double take. Although what I saw was not a surprise, what WAS a surprise was that THIS hen was NOT part of the broody count. I had NO IDEA she was setting on eggs. When I would return home from work, she would wobble out from the back yard but I always thought that she was just chilling out in the back near the trees and that she knew it was dinner time and she was coming from the back to eat. But now that I think of it, she has a "special" kind of walk that lets everyone know to get out of her way because she is on her way to eat. She makes a squealing noise as she walks when she is in her broody mood. I should have picked up on it but I didn't being as though she has already hatched out babies this year. I don't know where her nest was. I looked around from broken shells but could not find any. She hid her nest VERY WELL.

Julie...Give it up...You're NEVER gonna get rid of the Scovies...lol...Or at least not get under the 1million mark....lol... However if you have an abundance of males,I may know someone who would be interested for the right amount to get him to make the run.
