I called the cable place about the cable being out. She said that my area is listed as a disaster area and the crews are trying to repair it. DISASTER ??? Really??

Julie, that's something about the weather. We got lightning and thunder but I don't think a drop of rain fell. I hope things get straightened out in your area pretty quickly. Congrats/Condolences on the ducklings.

Terri, I'm so sorry about your trees. I'm a "tree hugger" too. I love our trees!

Wiskeybay, I hope Steve gets to feeling better soon. I went out to put water to my horses this afternoon just in time to rescue a squirrel. The squirrel had fallen into the water trough and couldn't get out. When I put a stick in the trough for him to climb out he didn't waste any time grabbing hold of it. Poor little guy!

Hey, can any of you guys tell me what I should be looking to vaccinate against in my new chicks? I'm in Lafayette Parish (Carencro area) and I am about to set some Sebright eggs. I thought I would need to get Marek's, but someone had mentioned Fowl Pox being a bigger problem?

Any help would be appreciated!
