Hi all! Much too much to catch up on -- I'd have to go back 50 pages to answer all the posts that I'm behind on.
Glad to see everyone on here.
If I missed any new folks

Harry, I'm glad to see that you are back home and feeling better. Take care of yourself.
Lots of interesting posts concerning the protection of your animals. Thanks for sharing! I will also be bookmarking that information.
Terri, I have hope for your BIG BAD A** rooster. Yesterday he was struting his stuff and jumping onto the kennel fencing trying to attack me through the fence while I was feeding and watering my geese. So, I took a deep breath and walked to the gate of his kennel. Just as I expected, he also came to the gate to meet me. I decided that it was high time for us to have our "come to Jesus" meeting. I opened the gate and gave him one swift kick. Just as he was "regrouping" I gave him another good swift kick just to let him know that the first one was not an accident, and that I was not playing. Later that evening, I went back into the pen and he politely walked to the back of the pen to give me some space. Today, I went in to collect eggs and he was very gentleman-like. He did crow at me a few times but he never tried to jump me. I hope that I nipped his aggressive behavior in the bud. I don't think that he liked my game of "football" very much.
I agree with all of you in not wanting to harm animals. However, sometimes it is necessary to correct aggressiveness by whatever means it takes. I would sure hate to have to butcher this beautiful rooster because he is too mean to keep around.
