Hi everyone,
I just wanted to touch base. I've been without a computer for several weeks and just got back online. On the chicken front, my hussies (hens) are really laying well now and I have my happy hobbit (silkie) tractor out on the pasture doing its job. My next project will be finishing the main chicken house and getting the sebrights set up with a home. One thing I have learned is that it pays to have your housing before you get your chickens. Those rascals grow fast. I've got my fall garden planted and bought a bunch of fruit trees from Lowes. I've become interested in permaculture and that should keep me pretty busy until about forever. Its fun to grow things though. I've been enjoying living outside the city limits for the last 9 months. Im thinking of getting some milk goats. If anyone knows anything about raising them, let me know because the wife and daughter are bugging me to death about getting some.
