Hey guys and gals! Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!

I just wanted to post a pic of the new member of our zoo…I mean family! I told my wife after My lab died last year and when my Rottweiler passes (she was 13yrs old) that I wanted to get me a lap dog. A dog that could travel easy and not make these huge land mines all over the yard. Anyway, this is what she came up with…..


He is only 10 weeks old and a whole 3+ pounds. We named him Charlie! I don’t know why we named him Charlie but my wife and 2yr old liked it so I was out voted. He is a Teddy Roosevelt Terrier or basically a Rat Terrier with short legs. AKC refers to them as Rat Terrier type B.

I have a pair of red slate turkeys that have been laying for the past couple of weeks.  I'm really excited to get some poults from them!  I couldn't figure out exactly what color they were, but I looked it up on Porters turkeys.  They look just like the tom pictured on their website.

Congrats on the eggs. The Porters are VERY nice looking birds.

And some turkeys evidently lol But yes I would take a load of them

All of the turkeys are for people on a waiting list but if it falls through and they change their mind, I can let you know.

I'm still tearing my eyeballs out because I lost 10 turkeys eggs in that stupid incubator.

Ok, I got home a little while ago, did a little yard work....let the dogs out....feed everyone and just walked in and sat down. So my wife ask me, do you have chickens in there pointing to the dining room? I looked at her like she was crazy and said no! I have eggs going into lock-down tomorrow but I won't have chicks until Wednesday or Thursday. So she looked back at me like I was the crazy one and said... well somethings chirping in there. I get up and go look and sure enough I had a chick hatch in one of my incubators. This is the incubator that I set my eggs in for the first 18 days and not the one that I use for hatching. That means that this chick hatched 2 or 3 days early with only 45% humidity. Now that's crazy!!!!

I write the date on the eggs when I set them and I mark the calender as well. I just checked both and yes they go into lock-down tomorrow.

Hey Mike, won't have any Speckled Sussex..... I'm not sure what in the H%$L is going on but out of the 16 eggs I set every single one of them were clear. Not a one was fertile.  I'm so flipping mad right now!!  SO either he's shooting blanks or not breeding them at all. What's crazy is I hatched 3 of their eggs in November. On a better note every Golden Cuckoo Marans egg I set is progressing right on schedule!!

Jumping in for a quick "Hi"! nothing but work going on here & way too much of that -- but -- this too shall pass come April 18th -- AND (drum roll, please)! I got my 90 day review and got a RAISE! I don't remember the last time I got a raise -- where I worked before, with the company slowing going down the drain, it was more "be glad you still have a job" than a raise!

AND--- (more drum roll) I also negotiated to come in earlier in the morning so I could have an hour off for lunch---so I'll be able to go HOME for lunch! or go run errands... at any rate, get out of here & have a change of scenery for an hour! This is one of the busiest streets in town so you can't exactly get out & do anything in only 30 minutes.

Birds are all fine, I think I have 2 RIR little roos for sure -- Jeff do you still want them?
Oh & sorry to get you two - Jeff & Chris - mixed up!

Been shopping for a new home computer -- any suggestions from any of you would be greatly appreciated!
