Sweet babies!!
Thanks! Wasn't sure! I've got to do some serious reading up on ducks and turkeys!!I can only speak about ducks... And It depends... Most folks say wait a week or three. I waited until they were about a month to give them water playtime. You have to be careful they don't get chilled or drowned. Thus the waiting on my part, and the. They only got in for a couple minutes each.

I have a question for those that raise ducks, goslings, etc... When can you let them get into water after they've hatched?? I've never had ducks before so I'm not really sure!!
Thanks!

Some of my other ones were but seem to have straighten out.The rooster is beautiful and HUGE! Question though, is it normal for their comb to be a little floppy as they are growing?
I brood mine for 2 weeks and out they go. I have hens that hatch their babies and she heads straight to the pond with them within minutes after being hatched. Like Gracie said its not when they can go swimming its more a factor that they can get dry after. Never let ducklings swim alone until they get all that figured outMine were in the water a day after hatching lol. As long as they are able to dry off afterwards they will be fine.
