the girls did good on the 8 hour drive back home....me i'm still recovering! it always seems that i need a vacation from my vacations.

there is a definite size difference in the ones i got from her (10 weeks old) and mine at 8 weeks old. Will take some pics later when i get back home for comparison if the weather holds out.

Oh cool will be awaiting for your post pics of the girls. I'm glad a few more of ya'll are getting involved in these GNH here a little closer to home. I been getting mine vicariously from kathyinmo thru my brother in Ark. then he transfers them down here to me when he comes to visit on his couple of getaways a year. I'm lining him up now for another trip to her place in Mo. I'm getting all her buff-barreds and buff-columbians she has hatched from the Delaware re-make project she and I and a couple of others are involved in. I can't wait to get them here too. Anyway with the GNHs getting established here we should not have to go out too far for getting different breeders and sharing helpful hints and ?'s

cpartist has a good eye too for choosing breeders, she has some very fine stock of 4 or 5 different type heritage birds.

It's been a tiring last few weeks. I need a vacation. It's that time of the year where I need to clean the chicken coops, clean and wipe down walls, change hay in all of the nesting boxes, clean and disinfect waterers and clean feeders. This is 10 hour job. I'm thinking I am about to hire someone to either help me or do this. There is no way I can do all of this right about now. I will be glad when broody season is over !!!!!!!!!!!! The animals are driving me crazy. I'm looking forward to cooler weather. Not looking forward to these increased feed prices. :barnie
