"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Good morning all - another pretty morning here!

The three Caballeros:  they can't stand to be inside the chicken yard - too boring! every morning they fly out & across the yard to hang out in the back by the kitchen door, so they can keep an eye on what's happening.

We had some interesting clouds at sunset:

I LOVE THE PICS OF THE GUINEAS !!!!!!!!! :lau LOOK HOW CUTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have a great trio there Terri.

I"m loving the pic of the clouds at sunset. Looks like it could be a greeting card of painting. A great screen saver. Thanks for sharing!

Here is a pic of my baby girl that was born on last Thursday.

:love Looks just like my little ram that was born this spring with that brown on her neck!

I think I have one more that is pregnant and that will be it for the year. I guess I will begin my search for a new ram. I have my little boy but I can't keep him so unfortunately he will be going to the butcher. :hit

My older girls are getting old. One is about 4 years old. Another is about 3 years old and the others are less than 2 years old. I don't want the older girls to breed any more. Not sure how much their bodies can take. I'm ready to retire them from having babies, so they can live out their life having fun, running around and not having to baby sit.

How many do you have Gracie? How are all of yours doing? Have you taken any to the butcher yet? If so, how much meat did you get?

Hope all is dry and ever'body is good to go this fine day.

Jeff
"good and wet" - It is that!

Hope you're feeling better Jovy - one of the ladies here at work has had that & she had a tough time getting rid of it.

Cute baby Julie! yes, those guineas are a mess - they are better than watching cartoons!

Not much going on here - just work & watching the traffic go by in the rain.

I cleaned out the coop yesterday & buried under the shavings was an overlooked egg that somebody had dropped in their sleep from the roost. When my rake hit it, it was rotten & exploded---& I do mean exploded!!
O MY!!!
ep.gif

I hastily pitched some shavings over it & vacated the premises for a couple of hours. I hope that NEVER happens again!

We cut the grass on last week and the grass was at least 2 feet tall. Shame on me. Well, we racked up all of the dead grass and I used the dry grass for bedding in the nesting boxes. I love it! I think that's what I'm going to do from here on out. The dry grass is better than the bale of hay that I have been using. And it saves me a little $$$$. The girls seem to love it. I found 12 eggs in one milk crate. Not sure how long the waiting in line was to use that milk crate but they got it done. :/

Some of the girls are molting and they look a mess. :lau Poor babies.

Terri, if you know anyone who has a peacock for sale, let me know and I will let that lady know. She has 2 females and needs a male. I told her that I ain't sellin' nothin'! :p

She was lusting over Prince and how pretty he was. I told her to hold that thought cause that boy ain't going NOWHERE! :gig
