love my LG

I love my LG's (as in plural, which has become a chore), but my dream is to get a Dickey!!! How nice would that be?

Each time I read a thread knocking the LG, I make the same statement and have never been taken up on it. If you do not want the LG sent it to me. I can use at least a dozen more for different classrooms. I have put the LG up against two very good bators and should come out on top. Maybe not because the LG is a better bator, but because I know how to use it. As for the one that shorted out, that could happen to any bator. I am not saying by any means that the LG is the best bator on the market. It is only as good as its operator. That goes for any piece of equipment. I might even be talked into paying for the shipping on the first 12 or so that someone doesn't want.

I would take that bet but I own a LG an can tell you that yes every thing has to be right in the room that it is in. Mine is not so I have to play with the temp. all of the time. I think it would work better if I put it in a room that had the same temp an humidity that it takes to hatch. Yes I have knocked it an so has a lot of others an if you read this form you will come to think that it is not a very good bator to work with. (mybe baby set) I know that so people think that it is tops but most think (that have them an want another one) it is terrible. All I can say is I hope you win and prove me wrong......

I'm not sure what the variation is supposed to be on them but, they do even when the temps in the room is stable and the exact same temperature. I have a therm./hygro both on the inside and out. My LG varies between 98-102 but, my new silicone filled egg always reads about 99.5. To me it cycles and goes back up or down eventualy. I quit fighting for an exact temp and just leave it alone now. If it is close I abandon it as I make bigger variances trying to correct than it is doing on it's own.

I actually do love my LG. Not to jinks myself but I've had no problems at all with it (unless I do something wrong to cause it). No babysitting here. I hope things shape up for you.

I've had THREE LG and hated them all! Temps are wacky and it can not uphold to maintain steady temps in a cool room that has no drafts or anything. Still wronky! Got rid of them!

Now I love my Hovabator Genesis!

I have a large amount of folks that returned their LG incubators back to Rural King and Farm and Fleet because of temps going wronky, even brand new. The return rates on those incubators were high as 80 percent! Yep, you pay for what you get for!

Off my soapbox!

Ours has stayed at exactly 100f since we did the 1st time set-up early this afternoon! We even left it for 3 hours t go shop-- called home and had hubby check 1/2 way thru--was still at 100f... and the same when we got home at 9pm...

It was easy to set up, easy to use (so far) and it is in our kitchen-- BOTH a sliding door and the back door are here-- so frequent opening of doors (re: Drafts) and no temp change! Woohoo!
