I have 3 hens all a little over a year old. (1) RIR, (1) BR, (1) Sexlink. Late last summer and even winter I was frequently getting 2/3 eggs/day. Now I'm lucky to get 2.

All 3 have bright red combs and whitish pinkish moist vents. I haven't done a pelvic width check. About 2 months ago I introduce 4 new pullets (now almost 4mos old). No other habitat changes have happened.

When this first started happening a month or so ago I thought maybe one was molting but the problem persists.

Any theories to share or things I might check?

Thanks in advance-

I always have layena out and they graze freely in their "pasture" that's about 20x30 yards-

Dietary insufficiency is often the cause. The 'complete feed' you may be buying only has to pass bare-minimum standards of nutrition to be allowed to be labelled as such. A pinch of granulated kelp per day starts even old non layers going again. I think it's high time someone made up a sort of stock block of kelp etc for chickens. I may have to experiment...
