Oh, in that case I'd say you're doing pretty well to be getting 1-2 eggs a day from five 2yo hens!

Yep, TSC gets them from hatcheries so they are likely Production Reds, labeled as Rhode Island Reds.

I have 9 1 year old orpingtons and 4 6 month old new hampshire reds. My 1 year olds layed really well the first year and for the past 3 months they have layed very few to no eggs at all. They are fed and they forage...they appear super healthy. What is wrong? Thank you for any help you can share.
