Hi one of my original girls became low energy in last 48 hours. She is about 6 years old and a black Australorp. She has been fine bird until now. I checked her crop and feels empty- she not really eating or drinking. Also she has dried poop on her vent area- she never had that before. I just separated her from flock and gave her water with drops of Cider vinegar and also some organic yogurt in little bowl. She still not eating or drinking- but she still looks good. Any ideas what could be wrong? I introduced four pullets into my small
Flock about 2 weeks ago. The pullets were here an additional 2 weeks before i integrated - including the pullets- i only have 8 hens total. Photos attached. Thanks i hope i can save her.

It looks like what I have just dealt with one of my silkies, she had vent gleet - from the picture looks like your hen has a discharge/ yellow/white is that right?
I just saved one of my hens that I was really worried about because not only did she have the thrush infection (Vent Gleet) but she also got sour crop because she ate lots of seeds whilst she had the fungal infection. I am no expert but thats my guess.
I can suggest a treatment that wont hurt even if I am wrong - because my hen is now doing so well.
Bath your hen in a gentle warm bath with a small amount of pet shampoo, then rinse off clear the water and refill her bath (I do it in the washing basin) with warm water and a couple of teaspoons of epsom salts - wash her. for us we massaged her crop because it was huge but you dont have to do that. Towel dry and blow dry your hen keep her warm in towels. Apply a fingernail size amount of home thrush cream like 10% clotrimazole on her vent.
Isolate her in a nice warm crate with water, and if you can get help to do this using a syringe dose her with 1CC of water and 1cc of olive oil. leave her to rest in a nice quite place warm with water and fresh air. My Chicken bounced back so much after this. Our next day I cut up tiny little pieces of soft white bread drenched in olive oil and yogurt and she loved it and ate it all up! So hungry.
So the overnight after the bath with epsom salts really revitalised her and probably the pH. Hope this helps but my guess is your hen has candida albicans like mine did.
P.S. after the bath and you have felt the crop is empty? then I would also try tempting foods such as scrambled egg with yogurt or creamed corn with yogurt just to get her to eat something, but do the bath it really revitalizes hens. Yogurt in her food, prebiotics and small dab of cream on her butt after baths.

Thanks for the detailed response. it is worth a shot! It is a bit chilly here today, only 60 degrees, but i will keep her warm as much as possible during the process.
