Hi everyone so me and my brother got a new incubator we ran it 24hours its automatic we figured the.water needs filling every two days we filled with 10dzck eggs and a week later 30bo eggs.
The incubator is at my brothers house and he stayed out last night when he got back himidity had gone from 50% tp 28% he got it back up but not sure how long its been like this
The chicken eggs are on day four. Will this result in the eggs dying.
Thank

Hello... I highly recommend the dry incubation method, which is not adding water until lockdown.
You rely on the egg's natural evaporation to create humidity. 28% sounds perfect.

day 1-18: 25-45% humidity
day 19-21: 55-65% humidity
there is a link in my signature with more detailed information... hope this helps!

^ that's what I do as well. I don't have a problem with chicks pipping and dying in the shell anymore (which was a problem I had when running the humidity at 50%, as the instructions that came with my incubator said). Good luck!

Thats great thanks would you suggest carrying on with the humidity or letting it dry

I would suggest running it at 25-45% humidity through day 18

day 19-21 increase humidity to 55-65%
