Hi, does anyone know what might be wrong with my Silkie's leg? She’s limping and keeps her right leg tucked. The issue seems to be in the lower leg — just above the foot, below the hock joint. It feels soft, no scab, no discoloration, and no visible wound. I’ve attached a photo. What could this be, and what should I do?

Thanks!

It's hard to tell with silkies if they got bruised by something.

If it doesn't feel hot and isn't swollen, then I'd lean to a possible vitamin deficiency.

If you don't have any B-Complex, I'd pick up some liquid drops. For a full grown chicken, it would be a whole pill or whole dropper full. For her, she seems young yet, maybe go 3/4 of either one. Once a day for at least a week.

Are your silkies still on chick crumbles or an all-flock? They'd be getting too much calcium if they are getting layer and not laying.
