Its no longer available at the Chapaign Il store. I just checked the site.

I guess to many BYC'ers was buying to many.
Actually can't seem to find one in the Il stores at all.

I can't find any in NY, CT or NJ. When I last checked, the price was $169 and change plus shipping which they won't know until sometime next week.

I just turned one wall upside down to use a window as a door as suggested by hensdeliverthegoods. It's brilliant! I had already assembled the house, but it wasn't hard to change and SO much better than cutting a hole out. Thanks for the great idea.

Now - if I could just figure out how to attach a cute, proportionate, safe run!

There are still houses in TN - ranging in price from $199 - $350.

You have to go and check out your local stores, b/c they have removed them from their online site. I think they must have figured out that crazy chicken people were calling and demanding a discount, so they could convert them into coops.

I just know that my local Lowe's would not honor the discount, so I was watching it online and would occassionally go into the store to check the price. One day they were listed online and the next they were removed, but w/ plenty still in stock. I checked all the Lowe's online that were close to my area and they had all been removed from the site claiming there were none in stock.

So if it's not to far a drive, go check out your local Lowe's. They are probably stashed in the back of the lawn & garden sect outside.

Good Luck!

Glad the hen door idea worked for you. For the run, we had a 10'x10' dog kennel that we no longer used, so we just removed one side and attached the rest to the playhouse/coop. We put the door on the side, and that's where we enter the coop from. Here's a pic - (pardon the mess, we were still under construction at this point

Let us know what you end up with for the run!

Hi everyone! I found this site while exploring the wonderful world of chicken farming! My family just moved to a house with 5 acres and I am considering raising chickens.

Ebonykawai,
You are in Wheatfield and I am in Town of Lockport. I am looking for one of these playhouses. Which location did you last see them at? NF blvd? Do you know of anywhere local to get just a few hens? I don't want to order 25 online. Thanks!
