I am trying to enjoy the eclipse but the police are pulling people over like crazy on my street. Adding to already bad light pollution with the strobes. Any other night they would just let people go through at 90.
Just so yall know, you will not see Saturns rings unless you have a telescope. It will look like a bright star to the naked eye and that is all.
happy veiwing
Its covered here. Dark, almost hard to see on the left side, but the right side still has some color to it. Its freezing, but too cool. Now someone said the bright star is Saturn. I see TWO bright stars. One is more yellow, and one is blue. The blue one is flickering, so Im assuming the solid, yellow on on the lower left is Saturn? Or am I wrong, lol.
I found this on the internet...
LOS ANGELES - The last total lunar eclipse until 2010 occurs Wednesday night, with cameo appearances by Saturn and the bright star Regulus on either side of the veiled full moon.
Is the blue flickering thing, Regulus? LOL. I dont care either way, this is just too cool. Hopefully by the next one I'll have a telescope!
