Hey,
Mutt chicken are the kind I raised on the front range prairie here in Colorado....I was lucky, some folks that took all breeds of chickens and mixed them cause they were too poor to get any one kind...They took freebies or stuff the sale barn could not get rid of...From the looks of their imbreeding they(not the chickens) had been doing yard birds for the past 100years or more...These birds were great! Tough, weatherly, and well flighted for chickens, And the cocks could give a coyote a bloody, blinded face quick as prairie dust devil spins! I got a rooster and 8 fine hens from the imbreeds for a start. I'll describe more another time...
