Lyon Rx2 Egg Incubator question ... please help

Yes, It will be more accurate than the cheapo at Wal-mart. I have 2 of the older Roll-X and they are extremely worth every penny...they will hatch anything !!! They are much better than the Sportsman. Quality cost more, they are very reliable incubators.

I COULDNT DISAGREE MORE. WHILE I CANT FAULT ANY LYONS PRODUCTS THE SPORTSMAN IS AS GOOD OR BETTER AND HOLDS SOMETHING LIKE A THOUSAND MORE EGGS (NOT REALLY, BUT IT DOES HOLD A GREAT DEAL MORE) AND THE CHEAPO WALMART THERMOMETERS ARE JUST IF NOT MORE ACCURATE THAN MOST ANY OTHER TYPE.

ULTIMATELY THE BEST INCUBATOR IS THE 1 YOU CAN USE AND GET GOOD RESULTS NO MATTER WHO MANUFACTURES IT. PERSONALLY THE ONLY DAYS I HAVE HAD THAT WERE HAPPIER THAN THE DAY I GOT RID OF BOTH OF MY LYONS MODELS WERE THE DAY MY DIVORCE WAS FINAL AND THE DAY I RETIRED FROM WORK, AND THOSE ARE BOTH VERY MARGINAL VICTORIES

I got this incubator on Craiglist for $200 , it just needed some clean up and is running very good
It has a very strong fan and I am learning how to use it.

Thank you guys for all your help

Keep An Eye On It... They Have A Tendancy To Go Thru Fans And Thermoregulators (the Unit That Controls Heat And Temperature)

Yeah, I have replaced the fan 3 times in 40 years(I usually run them year round)... Once you calibrate the Wal-mart you can go by them...they can be up to 2 degrees off compared to Mercury thermometer (in my experiences with them) , but you can get by with them.

I guess mine was on the black market then...I got my first one as a birthday present when I was 7 years ...I will be 47 in Sept. My dad bought it used from a feed store used.

OH THAT EXPLAINS IT... LYONS DIDNT GET THEM AND RELEASE THEM UNTIL 1985... SORRY MY BAD, FORGOT THEY ACQUIRED THE WHOLE MARSH LINE
