Meet Mabel.
Upon purchasing our chickens, she was 1 of the 6 black stars (black sexlinks I guess) we requested and brought home. Clearly she is not that 😅

The photos I've attached: 2wks, 4wks, 7wks, and lastly 9wks with her new coloring, her odd little face, and her feathery feets.

Any ideas? Black copper maran has been thrown around a bit, as well as brahma...

She's my mutt chicken.

Sex-links are crosses anyway, but I don't think that's what she is, as I've never seen one with feathered shanks/feet. There are a lot of new fad breeds coming from hatcheries now. Is it possible that she could be a Midnight Majesty Marans? I think they are an egg-laying cross and that could explain the feathered feet...

Looks like a crossbred/mutt.
Sex-links are crosses anyway, but I don't think that's what she is, as I've never seen one with feathered shanks/feet. There are a lot of new fad breeds coming from hatcheries now. Maybe? I've never heard of that breed 😅
