Meet Mabel.
Upon purchasing our chickens, she was 1 of the 6 black stars (black sexlinks I guess) we requested and brought home. Clearly she is not that

The photos I've attached: 2wks, 4wks, 7wks, and lastly 9wks with her new coloring, her odd little face, and her feathery feets.

Any ideas? Black copper maran has been thrown around a bit, as well as brahma...

Looks like a crossbred/mutt.

Sex-links are crosses anyway, but I don't think that's what she is, as I've never seen one with feathered shanks/feet. There are a lot of new fad breeds coming from hatcheries now. Is it possible that she could be a Midnight Majesty Marans? I think they are an egg-laying cross and that could explain the feathered feet...

I'm not sure what they are actually mixed with other than Marans. You might find some other individuals who have some and be able to compare her.

Some sort of mutt! White skin on feet bottoms might mean a bit of Marans is thrown in there
