I have to clean coops today

All seventeen of them

There's now eleven chicks. Last night, I listened to the incubator for a long time. Cnadled the eggs, saw no movement, heard no cheeping, nothing happened. No pips, no chirps, just sitting there. I came back half an hour later, and there was a baby!

Good grief girl! That's a lot of crap!

Sorry that does stink. I did my one big coop and run day before yesterday,and that was bad enough! If I was there,I'd help you.

Poop doesn't bother me. Probably because I'm use to changing my nieces and nephews many poopy diapers.

LOL! Yeah we've got a compost pile taller than the chicken coop! I got over the poop a few years back, but still...I don't very much enjoy it

I cleaned three yesterday to get the new chicks in, so now there's just fourteen

Madam, have you made a big profit off raising chickens? I don't buy my own feed so it's rather hard to figure out if I could make money off selling chicks and chickens. I sold enough chickens and eggs to have enough for my want-to-have laying-chickens. Then when I get them and they grow up to lay, I'm hoping to make enough off them to get fancy chickens.

e awesome! My female pigeons pair (yeah, kinda weird) now have 3 squeakers. They both layer two eggs in a nest and so far 3/4 have hatched. Of course neither is the daddy.

I make a decent amount off of selling the chickies. Haven't sold eggs yet, cause I hatch them all...I would be selling now but everyone's molting and barely giving us enough for breakfast, lol! I make enough to pay for everything (Feed, meds, whatnot) with enough left over to ad an SQ trio of a new breed a year, and have some left over which I stow away for whatnot. It's not extrememly profitable, but it does break even with a good bit left over.
