Well, I am going to encourage you in a different way..I actually like the first picture much better. You are beautiful just the way you are. We don't need fancy things to make us beautiful. While it is fun to try things or do something new...don't ever think you aren't already "enough". I think you looked very natural, very clean, very earthy, very human....in your first picture..I liked it.
I don't wear makeup either. I have been told many times I just do not need it..and honestly, it is a hassle.
If I wear anything, it is a tad brown mascara and Philosophy makes a product called SUPERNATURAL. It is a tinted SPF moisturizer..and it is the most you will ever find on my face. It is a tad expensive..but when you take away everything else not needed, it doesn't cost much at all...and then some lip goo..I love lip goo..never lipstick though..again, a hassle.
