Maggie has abandoned her chick!

It's official. Polly is no longer a baby. Last night she roosted in Coop #1 with the majority of the flock, while mama Maggie was in Coop #2! She is finally moving away from having to be with mama! Good news. It's harder for a lone chick I think.

She might not feel like a lone chick. Sounds like she feels like she is part of the flock

Yes, she is a part of the flock now and it's great to see. I'm happy she is a girl and happy she fits in with everyone! I haven't seen her get pecked for days and days now!

This morning Polly got in a fight with . . . her Mom! Maggie wants NOTHING more to do with this offspring! Interesting how chicken relationships change! She wasn't hanging around her Mom much anymore anyway, now it's over!
